AP End of Day Replica Review

The Audemars Piguet End of Days is a limited edition version of the Royal Oak Offshore, made as a special order for Arnold Schwartzeneger for the movie End of Days. Created with PVD coating and marked with unique yellow hands and a strap made of vinyl, the End of Days (EOD) is quite desirable and can often be found selling for over $40,000. Recently, high-end manufacturers of replica watches, have begun manufacturing examples of this watch.

These AP End of Days replicas are also coated with PVD (tests are still to be made to determine the thickness of the coating) most of the key features of the watch have been emulated, such as the yellow hands and the date magnifier residing under-the-crystal.

Flaws include the incorrect functioning of the sub-dials due to the use of the standard copy of the ETA 7750 chronograph movement (28,000 vph) . On the genuine AP End of Days we find the seconds subdial at the 12 o'clock position. The replicas have the seconds at 9 o'clock the following the position of the 7750 copy movement. Dial and case quality looks to be close to the original, but further conclusions can't be made until we can inspect the watch in detail.
